2009 Kansas Elk w/Rifle: Lefty
If you look close at his left ear you can see a small curly drop tine poking into his ear as if he has a hands free communicating device; yet I say he wasn't ready to give up on his old school antenna look just yet.

2009 Elk non-typical
This elk I named the Knight, I saw him a few times including a shot opportunity with the rifle but I saw blaze orange in the back ground and decided not to shoot obviously.

The one I was waiting for.....
Ponder this: How many elk are in kansas? What are the odds of drawing a Kansas Any Elk tag? How about finding a matched set of Elk antlers? well you do the math. What would your excitement level be after drawing a tag a couple months after seeing those? Yea, a 12 on the ole 1 to 10 scale. Yes these are the sheds from this bull dropped in the spring of 2009, in the picture above you will see a 36" and 48" ruler laying next to sheds and a piece of plastic pipe measuring 2 5/8" O.D. No I don't have them and Yes they are as big as they look!
